Traditional Chinese Medicine uses acupuncture and Chinese herbs to
treat a wide variety of conditions. The Chinese character seen above
means "root cause," an important element of Chinese medicine.

Though Chinese Medicine and acupuncture have been
used for centuries in China and other countries, it is generally considered
"alternative" in the United States. Happily, as more and
more studies are proving that these therapies work, Western medicine
is becoming receptive to them, and many hospitals and clinics have
begun referring to modalities like acupuncture as "complimentary"
medicine, rather than alternative medicine. Michael Waterhouse has
been at the forefront of the movement to integrate Eastern and Western
medicine. He was the first licensed acupunturist to have treating
privileges in a major teaching hospital, and has done ground-breaking
work at UCLA in the areas of Pediatric Pain Relief and Orthopedics.
Michael Waterhouse worked at the Rochford Clinic for over thirty years and is now working with the team of Physical Therapists at ADI Rehab. He focuses on general adult acupuncture
and Chinese herbal care, with particular emphasis in the areas of
Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, women's medicine including pregnancy
and fertility, digestive disorders and integrative cancer care. If
you feel that Traditional Chinese Medicine may be of help to you,
